Jay Goossen

As a Managing Director at Affirm Partners, Jay draws on a unique skill set combining a background in executive recruiting with nearly ten years as a litigator across an international law firm and elite boutique.

After working for two years as an executive recruiter at Michael Page, Jay earned his Juris Doctor from Columbus School of Law, where he participated on the National Mock Trial Team. He worked first as a litigator at King & Spalding LLP, where he defended the world’s leading businesses in complex commercial and tort disputes, followed by joining Hicks Thomas LLP, an elite trial boutique.

Jay received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Union College. He has lived in Houston, New York, Washington, D.C., Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore, and has an extensive global professional network.
